4, 2025.

He was 88 years old.

Bob was born in Watertown in 1936, the youngest child of Martin and Maria Maurer. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Mary Maurer, Rose Maurer and Katherine Maurer, brother Martin Maurer (Ann Montague) and his former wife Elizabeth Ingersol.

He leaves behind several nieces, nephews and great nieces, along with stepdaughters Tina Schuth (Thomas) and Toni Ingenito (Paul) and six step-grandchildren.

Bob was a graduate of Watertown High School.

Bob had the following quote in his yearbook which describes him perfectly: “Friend to all, foe to none.” Bob was also a graduate of SUNY Oswego where he majored in History. He was a history teacher and a substitute teacher in several North Country schools.

He worked briefly at General Electric in the Production Control department and in the Town of Clayton
